H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and General Chansamone Chanyalath of the Lao PDR visited Asia-Potash’s potash operations in Laos.

On January 18, H.E. General Chansamone Chanyalath, Vice Chairman of the Lao PDR’s Central Committee for National Security and Deputy Prime Minister, visited Asia-Potash’s potash production facility in Khammouan Province. He was accompanied by Dr. Songsaan Vongsida, Chairperson of the Khammouan Provincial Administrative Committee. Mr. Yang Suo, Director of Asia Potash International and Deputy General Manager of its Laos subsidiary, led the company’s senior management team in hosting and guiding the delegation throughout the visit. 

At the meeting, Mr. Yang Suo outlined the company’s priorities: strengthening its core potash business; diversifying into complementary multi-mining sectors; advancing agricultural modernization in Laos; and fulfilling corporate social responsibility. He affirmed the company’s commitment to leveraging its 3-million-to yearly potash capacity to deepen collaboration with the Lao government and support Laos’ emergence as a globally competitive potassium fertilizer producer. Deputy Prime Minister Chansamone Chanyalath commended the project as a national demonstration initiative—highlighting its contributions to industrial development, exports, and rural livelihoods—and reaffirmed full government support for capacity expansion, value-chain integration, and the development of the integrated industrial park as a flagship modern zone in ASEAN. 

During the inspection, Deputy Prime Ministerconducted on-site visits to the potashindustrial zone, multi-mining industrial zone, and employee living facilities, providing practical guidance for the company's development.
