Leveraging the role of national think tanks to build momentum for economic development | Director of the National Institute of Economics and Social Sciences under the Lao Central Committee visits Asia-Potash

On October 11, Dr. Kongchao Saysonkham, Director of the Lao Central Committee’s National Institute of Economics and Social Sciences, visited Asia-Potash’s potash production base in Laos with a delegation, accompanied by Khammouan Deputy Governor Songsaan Vongsitha and other provincial officials — supporting the formulation of Laos’ next five-year socio-economic development plan and strengthening national think tank engagement. 

The Institute is Laos’ premier national think tank, focused on economic development and regional cooperation. It delivers evidence-based analysis and policy recommendations across economics, politics, and culture, and plays a key advisory role in legislation, national planning, and policymaking.
